Review of "Super Tough"

There's not really a title that can better describe this cd. Featuring some of the top musicians from the Bay Area and beyond, this album is a must-have for any serious reggae fan.

The masterminds of this project are Bruce Benjamin and Wally Sound, who recorded the tracks at Wally's studio on 2" tape, which gives this cd a rich sound often lacking in digital recording methods. The guest artists shine wonderfully on these tracks, starting off with a tune called United, featuring Jamaica's own Al Pancho (who also appears again later on the disk with the heavy-hitting Rocks to Riches). Longtime Bay Area locals Tony Moses and Ras Kidus lend their talents to their standout tunes (Fly me To the Moon and Man of Constant Sorrow respectivley), and Rankin Scroo delivers a solid tune on Worl of Luv) Perhaps my favorite tune on the album at the moment though,a cover of the country song Divorce, is sung perfectly by a singer named Gina Mooshian Nivens, who I had never heard of up till this release.

This is one I'd highly reccomend picking up, and can be purchased at our online store.
