All the King's Men Tour comes to Ashkenaz September 30th

All the King’s Men puts some of reggae’s finest talents, new and old, into one concert that runs more like a festival, with the all-star band backing each soloist. The music runs from roots reggae through dancehall and lover’s rock, all driven by conscious lyrics over the deepest grooves. The show opens with sizzling ska featuring the Celebrity Hornz. Best-known for his role in the Abyssinians, Jamaican singer David Morrison recently issued his first solo CD, “One Day at a Time.” Multi-instrumentalist Tuff Lion (from the Virgin Islands), well-known as a producer of recordings by Dezarie, Midnite, and Bambu Station, is the guitarist on this tour. California’s Luv Fyah combines sweet, soulful singing with chanting on songs from his forthcoming recording, “Ethiopia We Belong.”

These talents are backed by the powerhouse all-star band featuring Tuff Lion, drummer Santa, bassist Toho (of Don Carlos’ band), keyboardist Seth Theodore (of Million 7), and the Celebrity Hornz (trombonist Balboa Becker and sax and flute player Garrett Kobsef).

DJ Tony Moses plays conscious reggae recordings before and between acts and also sings a few songs himself.
